Retro Romance Bridal Shoot Feature
I am thrilled to see the images from our Retro Romance shoot, from my current bridal collection, featured in the June 2019 edition of Your Surrey Wedding Magazine.
The photo shoot started with wanting to get some images of my new bridal designs. After speaking to photographer, Jonathan Tennant, he was keen to get involved and had already been discussing a retro shoot with make up artist, Jana Jurakova, so the timing was perfect and ideas for the shoot grew from there.
Brides are becoming keen to experiment with their bridal looks more and more, so it is an exciting time for the wedding industry. We wanted to get a great team together to inspire brides that are currently planning their big day. For this shoot we wanted to really focus on the retro styling.
Tea length dresses are really popular for retro styled or less formal weddings (and perfect for dancing!). Also, many brides are wanting some colour incorporated into their look, whist still feeling bridal, which has inspired the floor length gowns.
I had two models in mind, Joanna Szyc and Zoe Page, that would really suit the look, and Jana brought a third model on board, Signe Apine, who was just meant for this style. Our three models looked stunning.
Jana had some great ideas for hair and make up styling and invited Linmir Millinery to join us with her fantastic head pieces, to complete the looks.
Getting a team of like minded creatives in the industry together is when the magic really happens and brings all of our ideas to life. We were really lucky to get a beautiful wedding venue, Burhill Golf Club, on board with our ideas and gave us a great setting for our photoshoot.
